Lululemon Athletica makes technical clothing for yoga, dancing, and running, but I happen to use their comfty, yet tailored items as travel wear. New to my carry-on, the Lulu Bomber in tweed is everything a chic travel jacket should be. Water resistant 2-way stretch fabric provides ultimate comfort while the super high collar keeps my face warm and folds down for style. The jacket also has a brushed fleece inner layer for added warmth and functional zipper pockets that keep my cell phone, cards, and keys safe. The back pleat makes for a chic fashion statement and provides a little wiggle room for the active jetsetter.
Budget Find: For the recessionista who wants to save a few bucks I also love Gap’s Puffer Cardigan. This modern take on the puffer jacket combines the warmth of a down-filled coat with the streamlined look of a fitted blazer.

Until now, my travel pajama alternatives have been pathetic. Oversized tees, seen-better-days sweatpants or silky somethings I wouldn’t want to be caught dead in.
But Cocoon’s Traveler’s Tree natural silk pajamas pass all my sweet dream requirements - suitably stylish, quick dry and lightweight. This ultra-compact, beautiful travel pajama set weighs just 4.5 oz and comes packed in its own tiny carry bag about the size of a deck of playing cards. Love that.
Plus, these gorgeous jammies not only minimize packing and weight, but because they’re 100% silk they adapt to changing temperatures - toasty in Alaska and cool in Belize. Best yet, they can be hand (or machine) washed and quick dry.
Compact, comfortable and stylish. What’s not to love?

Chic carry-on bags and totes are a must have for members of the jet set. I love Hayden-Harnett’s line of stylish, durable travel accessories. I added the Ibiza Flight Tote in Olive to my collection in 2007 and I love it so much that I bought it in black this year. Other must haves from the line are the Lisbon Weekender and the Mozambique Garment Bag. The new HH Paule Marrot Voyage collection is also worth checking out, serving up the functional et femme Toulouse Weekender. The collection harks back to the days of true travel glamour, with a modern HH twist.
