Seven days at a luxury villa is certainly nice, but just a weekend away can do wonders for the mind and body too. Most travelers don’t realize that many villas can be rented for just three days at a time, especially in the fast approaching low season when owners tend to be more flexible.

Some villas in the Dominican Republic and the Cayman Islands offer three-night minimums from April to December, in case you’re aching for a little sun in the spring or fall.
