Beautiful AND Socially Conscious Rugs

For the past 35 years, Donna and Larry Simons of A Candle In The Night , a rug dealership based in Brattleboro, Vermont, has featured a host of old, village and tribal rugs as well as new natural-dyed rugs and has specialized in working only with small producers that do not utilize the indentured services of children. Additionally compelling is that the proceeds of the production of these rugs benefit non-profit organizations and projects which support educational endeavors of the weavers’ children.

A Candle In the Night also features furnishings and artwork made from renewable materials and reclaimed wood. Beginning this Fall, they will further enhance their offerings by devoting a section of their retail space to organic furniture selections curated by Tad Taylor Healthy Homes’ expert, Pam Taylor.
