6 Tips for Making Travel More Meaningful
This list is part of a set of New Year reminders that I created for myself. Over the past decade, I’ve grown increasingly interested in the internal journey and living a life of meaning. I created this from my evolving beliefs and values. From your own life and travel experience, I’m sure you can add some more, and hope you do.
Bon voyage…
1. Open yourself to possibility
When someone suggests something that at first feels outrageous, or outside your comfort zone, open your heart and mind to the possibility that it might contribute to better understanding or experiences.
2. Embrace wildness
Give yourself opportunities to experience the restorative power of wilderness and wild places. It’s impossible to feel disconnected or alone in the natural world.
3. Expect the unexpected
You can end any and all suffering by reminding yourself that stuff happens and plans change.
