This year for Spring Break let YMCA of the Rockies help customize an affordable Colorado getaway for your family. Their two properties Estes Park Center and Snow Mountain Ranch offer a range of accommodations, dining options, and activities to keep the whole family entertained, while staying on budget.

Here are just a couple of ideas of how to spend Spring Break with YMCA of the Rockies:

  • Family Fun Weekends- These themed weekends are available at both properties and include two nights’ accommodation, buffet-style meals, and a huge range of activities. March 4-6th Estes Park Center will be hosting a Family Magic weekend which in addition to showcasing magic demonstrations will prepare families to stage their own magic shows. March 25th-27th Snow Mountain Ranch will have Family Crafts Weekend and also offer free Nordic ski lesson and trail pass with equipment rentals.
  • Snow Play- At Snow Mountain Ranch families can take advantage of the snow through more than just downhill skiing. Everyone can try out day and night sledding/tubing, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing, sleigh rides, and ice skating. When ready to warm up head to the Kiva Center, SMR’s indoor recreation headquarters. Everything from basketball and rollerblading to bouldering and foosball are available here.
  • Creative Release- The Mootz Family Craft and Design Center at Estes Park Center will have the whole family creating in no time. This is far beyond macaroni art; tackle leather and wood working, jewelry making, tie dye, ceramics, and more. Estes Park Center is also the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park and the quaint mountain town of Estes Park. There is plenty to explore in both directions.

Accommodations include multiple lodges, cottages, multi-family cabins, and a new yurt village (only at Snow Mountain Ranch). Both locations offer dining choices ranging from buffet-style to a-la-carte to sit down style. For more information visit YMCA of the Rockies at www.ymcarockies.org
