American Airlines has extended a special offer that rewards customers who fly round trip from the United States to the United Kingdom with a free* companion ticket for future travel to the UK or to select destinations in the Caribbean.


Now through March 31, simply fly American Airlines round trip in First Class or Business Class, or on select Economy Class fares from the United States to the United Kingdom, and earn the free companion ticket for future travel.


On your next trip you can choose to return to the UK or perhaps opt for warmer weather with a trip to the Caribbean. American, a founding member of the global oneworld(R) Alliance, offers up to 18 daily flights to London Heathrow and Manchester from various U.S. locations.

Qualifying Round Trips: Offer applies only to new reservations booked between Sept. 18, 2008, and March 31, 2009. Round-trip travel is defined as two one-way trips on nonstop flights between the Continental U.S./Canada and the UK, booked in a single reservation under one ticket number. To qualify, the round trip must originate and terminate in the Continental U.S. or Canada. A maximum of one round trip is permitted per reservation.


Companion Ticket: Companion award ticket is valid for round-trip travel from the Continental U.S./Canada to the UK (London Heathrow or Manchester) or the Caribbean (including Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, the Bahamas and Bermuda) on flights marketed and operated by American Airlines, American Eagle or AmericanConnection. Advance Booking/Ticketing Requirements: Advance booking/ticketing for the companion ticket is per the rule of the fare purchased by the paying passenger.


Booking Instructions: AAdvantage member who qualified for the companion ticket must travel with the companion. No substitutions will be permitted. Member can qualify for complimentary companion ticket multiple times but award travel is limited to one companion at a time. Companion award ticket earned in conjunction with this promotion must be booked through AAdvantage Reservations at 1-800-882-8880, and requires payment of $20 for award ticketing in addition to all applicable taxes and fees. This award cannot be booked on AA.com.


Valid Booking/Ticketing Dates: Member and companion tickets must be booked and ticketed no later than June 30, 2009, in a single reservation, for the same itinerary and on the same flight. Conditions of the companion ticket fare will match the rules of the fare purchased by the paying passenger.


Valid Booking Classes: Offer is valid for travel on any purchased, published adult fare in First Class, Business Class or Economy Class booked in Y, B, H, K or M. Fares ineligible to earn AAdvantage miles are excluded. This offer cannot be combined with any other special offer or discount, including negotiated corporate discount fares.


Valid Travel Dates: Companion award ticket is valid for outbound travel through Dec. 15, 2009. All return travel must be completed by Dec. 31, 2009.


Upgradeability/Transferability: Companion award ticket is not upgradeable. Companion award ticket is not transferable and may not be bartered or sold.


Ticket Changes/Cancellation: Any changes are governed by the fare rules associated with the purchased ticket. If the purchased ticket is cancelled, then the companion ticket will also be cancelled. No cash value is associated with the companion ticket.


AAdvantage Mileage Accrual: Customer traveling on the companion award ticket is not eligible to earn AAdvantage miles or accrue credit toward elite status qualification.
