Ellen Barone; Curriculum Vitae. An overview of my experience and other qualifications.

Ellen Barone

Travel entrepreneur, online publisher and content producer.

Primary focus since 1998 has been on finding new ways to creatively develop and market travel related online content, engage in Social Media networks (i.e. Facebook, Twitter and blogs) and build brand recognition.

Ongoing projects include:

As an early enthusiast of multimedia platforms– narrative and service journalism, editorial photography, blogs, audio, video and social – I’ve been curating and creating intriguing, trustworthy and engaging travel content since 1998.

Sharing insights and information, I’ve traveled to more than 70 countries in pursuit of the world’s most memorable journeys, and built a reputation, career and loyal audience as a trusted travel advisor by offering people meaningful ways to experience the world, along with the products and services that will make their travels – and lives – better.

A group travel blog, YourLifeIsATrip.com was founded on the belief that there is no division between your travels, your life, your soul, your wellbeing, your relationships, your money, your work and your play.  The site, recently honored with two first-place writing awards from the Western Chapter of the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW), features different voices, different subjects, all related by the common theme – life as a trip.  To learn more, visit www.YourLifeIsATrip.com.

Since its soft-launch in January 2009, thanks to an assemblage of 90+ contributors, the site has enjoyed rapid growth on the new reader and new subscriber fronts and attracted national media attention. Responsibilities include managing contributor content and postings/promotion schedule, planning editorial direction, developing strategic partnerships and revenue producing programs.
